Korean face masks for glowing skin in 10 minutes

Face masks are designed to give the skin intensive care, target specific concerns and boost the results of your whole routine. They're a great add-on when you want to quickly hydrate, calm or improve the look of your skin.

Why a mask isn't just an extra step

Serums and creams work gradually and you apply them every day, while a face mask is a short, intensive treatment you leave on the skin for 10 to 20 minutes and then remove or rinse off. During that time the skin receives a much higher concentration of active ingredients than it could handle with daily use, which is why 1 to 3 times a week is enough. It's an excellent complement to serums and face cream, not a replacement for them.

Which mask to choose for your skin concern

For dehydrated skin, look for a mask with hyaluronic acid, which binds moisture and holds it in the surface layers of the skin. For redness and sensitive skin, Centella is the ingredient that soothes irritation and strengthens the skin barrier. If you're dealing with acne and blemishes or enlarged pores, reach for a clay or stick mask that absorbs excess oil without drying the skin out further.

Where a mask fits in your routine

You apply a mask after cleansing and toner, before moving on to serum and face cream; a sheet or hydrogel mask replaces the serum step that evening. The exception is clay and wash-off masks, which you rinse off right after cleansing, before toner. For best results use it 1 to 3 times a week, depending on the type and the intensity of the ingredients.

Hydrogel, sheet, or clay mask

A hydrogel mask is thicker, cooling, and clings to the skin longer, which is why you'll most often find it in collagen and soothing lines. A sheet mask is thinner and soaked in an essence that skin absorbs quickly, so it's suitable for more frequent use. Clay and stick masks work the opposite way, drawing out excess oil and calming shine in the T-zone, which makes them the first choice for oily and combination skin.

The brands you search for most

BIODANCE is our most searched-for hydrogel mask brand; its collagen line is the reason “Biodance mask” is one of the more frequently searched phrases on the topic. MEDICUBE is known for its overnight collagen “night wrapping” mask, which you leave on the skin overnight instead of the usual 15 to 20 minutes. BEAUTY OF JOSEON offers a wash-off rice and honey mask, and ANUA an enzyme powder that works as a gentle exfoliant in mask form. Among sheet and clay masks you'll also find several established Korean brands without their own collection in our range.

How to choose your first Korean face mask

If you're just starting out, pick one mask based on your most pressing skin concern, not all of them at once; skin needs time to show results. A Korean face mask is an addition to, not a replacement for, a basic routine of cleansing, toning, and moisturizing. Once you find the type that suits you, you can safely combine it with several formulas depending on what your skin needs this week.
